About me

Hi there, I am Zhihui Ren.

I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Hydraulic Engineering, Tsinghua University, working with research group of Prof. Fuqiang Tian and Dr. Yi Nan. My research focuses on flash floods early warning, disaster-triggering rainfall, and mountain hazard modeling.

I obtain my Ph.D. in Physical Geography in 2025 from Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. Yanfang Sang, where I worked on sub-daily precipitation analysis and probabilistic flash floods warning methods.
